Winter Bible Study Coming Soon: "An Odd Couple, Jonah and Ruth"

I am delighted to announce an upcoming Thursday night community bible study that will be using another one of the top-quality studies of the Kerygma program. You are invited!

Dr. Carol Miller, the writer of the curriculum, does a great job of bringing together top-notch scholarship and session focus that makes biblical studies come to life. And what a better study to kick off 2016 than the hilarious adventures of the reluctant prophet Jonah and the heartfelt, tender story of Ruth the Moabite. Even if you are familiar with the stories, be prepared to get new perspectives and insights! These texts are all about the steadfast love of God, but the ways that that love exhibits itself to this unlikely cast of characters can sometimes have us laughing and crying in the same paragraph. We will, of course, consider what that unrelenting love means for us and our own time.

Andy Gay will be teaching, following the tradition of Dr. Sherwood Ebey who initiated these community bible studies, introducing us to the richness of the Kerygma studies.
