Wednesday Night Musicians Continues to Thrive - Keeping Time to the Season

We started meeting on Wednesday nights this fall in order for our musicians to go over instrumental arrangements and hymns.  But our focus keeps changing as new people become involved.  Recently we have started a choir, and our little choir will begin offering its harmonizations to worship this coming Sunday as we celebrate the 4th Sunday of Advent.  They will sing the beautifully haunting carol, "Lo How a Rose 'Er Blooming'.

The speed with which our people are picking up harmonies is very exciting.  The first piece we started working on was "While Shepherds Watched Their Flocks by Night" to the "Sherburne" arrangement out the Sacred Harp.  We will be singing it Sunday, December 23.  Our soloists will continue to offer their songs, with Caroline McGee singing "Whatever Happened to the 'Christ' in Christmas?" this coming Sunday.

When Phoebe gets back into action on the piano we will continue to offer instrumental arrangements.  Now we have choral music to look forward to as well.

Come by Wednesdays at 7pm to be a part of the music ministry of the Cowan Fellowship Church.  As with everything we do, everybody is invited!
